- Drive to Kargil via Sonamarg – the ‘Meadow of Gold’
- Cross Zojila Pass (3,900 m) – gateway into Ladakh
- En route stop at Drass Village – second coldest inhabited place on Earth
- Arrival in Kargil by evening and hotel check-in

Day 2:Kargil – Leh (230 km / ~7-8 hrs)
