Day 1: NJP Train Station / IXB Airport – Phuentsholing

  • Meet and greet on arrival and transfer to Phuentsholing 
  • Complete immigration formalities and check-in at hotel 
  • Overnight stay at Phuentsholing

Day 2:Phuentsholing – Thimphu

  • After breakfast, transfer to Thimphu
  • Check-in at hotel
  • Evening: Outer view of Tashichhoe Dzong (Fortress of the Glorious Religion)
  • Overnight stay at Thimphu

Day 3:Thimphu Sightseeing

  • Visit outer view of Kuensel Phodrang (Buddha Dordenma), Hindu Temple, and National Memorial Chorten
  • Short hike to Wangditse Lhakhang (approx. 40 mins)
  • Afternoon: Visit Nunnery, BBS Tower, National Library
  • Explore Centenary Farmers Market and Craft Bazaar
  • Overnight stay at Thimphu

Day 4:Thimphu – Punakha / Wangdue Sightseeing

  • Distance: 77 kms | Driving Time: 3 hrs | Altitude: 1200 m
  • Drive via Dochu-La Pass (3150 m) for Himalayan views
  • Visit Punakha Dzong, the former seat of Bhutan’s government
  • Hike to Chimi Lhakhang, also known as the Temple of Fertility
  • Visit the Suspension Bridge
  • Overnight stay at Punakha

Day 5:Excursion to Gangtey (Phobjikha Valley)

  • Day trip to the serene Phobjikha Valley, home of the Black-Necked Cranes
  • Visit Gangtey Gompa
  • Return and overnight stay at Punakha

Day 6:Punakha – Paro Sightseeing

  • Drive to Paro with scenic stops by the riverside
  • Visit Airport Viewpoint, Ta Dzong (National Museum), Rinpung Dzong
  • Explore the Museum of Lights
  • Evening at leisure
  • Overnight stay at Paro

Day 7:Paro Sightseeing

  • Option 1:
  • Hike to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest)
  • Optional visit to Drukgyel Dzong (if time permits)
  • Option 2:
  • Drive to Sangchen Chokor Monastery for valley views
  • Try Bhutanese traditional dress and shop in town
  • Overnight stay at Paro

Day 8:Paro – Phuentsholing

  • After breakfast, transfer to Phuentsholing
  • Check-in and overnight stay at Phuentsholing

Day 9:Phuentsholing – NJP Train Station / IXB Airport

  • After breakfast, check out and transfer to NJP or Bagdogra for departure
