This 6-night journey through Bhutan weaves together the spiritual, natural, and cultural richness of the Himalayan kingdom. Begin in the bustling capital of Thimphu, explore the majestic dzongs and landscapes of Punakha, and culminate your adventure in Paro, home to Bhutan’s iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery. Day 1:Arrival at Paro Airport – Transfer to Thimphu

  • Welcome at Paro Airport by our representative. 
  • Scenic drive to Thimphu (65 km / approx. 2 hours). 
  • Check in at your hotel and relax. 
  • Evening: Explore Thimphu town by walk — visit local cafés and handicraft stores. 
  • Overnight stay in Thimphu.

Day 2:Thimphu Full-Day Sightseeing

  • Morning visits:
  • Kuensel Phodrang (Buddha Point) – Enjoy panoramic views of Thimphu Valley.
  • National Memorial Chorten – A revered stupa built in memory of the Third King.
  • Folk Heritage Museum – Glimpse traditional Bhutanese lifestyle.
  • Afternoon:
  • Sangaygang View Point
  • Changangkha Monastery
  • Takin Preserve Centre – See Bhutan’s national animal.
  • Tashichho Dzong – The grand seat of Bhutanese governance.
  • Overnight stay in Thimphu.

Day 3:Thimphu – Punakha via Dochu-La Pass

  • After breakfast, drive to Punakha (77 km / approx. 3 hours).
  • En route: Stop at the stunning Dochu-La Pass (3,150m) for Himalayan views and 108 stupas.
  • On arrival, check in to hotel.
  • Afternoon visit:
  • Punakha Dzong – One of Bhutan’s most beautiful fortresses.
  • Chhimi Lhakhang (The Fertility Temple) – Built by the ‘Divine Madman’.
  • Evening at leisure.
  • Overnight stay in Punakha/Wangdue.

Day 4:Day Trip to Gangtey (Phobjikha) OR Punakha Local Sightseeing

Option 1: Excursion to Gangtey (3 hrs one-way)
  • Visit the Phobjikha Valley, home to Black Necked Cranes (winter only).
  • Explore Gangtey Gompa, one of Bhutan’s oldest monasteries.
Option 2: Punakha Sightseeing & Hiking
  • Hike to Khamsum Yuelley Namgyal Chorten (45 mins uphill) for stunning Punakha valley views.
  • Visit the Punakha Suspension Bridge and Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendrup Nunnery.
  • Evening free for leisure.
  • Overnight stay in Punakha/Wangdue.

Day 5:Punakha – Paro via Royal Botanical Park

  • After breakfast, drive to Paro (140 km / approx. 5 hours).
  • Stop at Royal Botanical Park, Lamperi en route.
  • On arrival, check in at the hotel.
  • Visit:
  • Ta Dzong (National Museum) – Home to artifacts, thangkhas, and relics.
  • Rinpung Dzong – A majestic fortress on the riverbanks.
  • Evening free for leisure/shopping.
  • Overnight stay in Paro.

Day 6:Paro – Hike to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest)

  • Begin early for the Taktsang Monastery hike (approx. 2–3 hrs one way).
  • Sacred site where Guru Rinpoche meditated.
  • Set dramatically on a cliff 900m above the Paro Valley.
  • Post-hike visits (time permitting):
  • Drukgyel Dzong (Ruins)
  • Kyichu Lhakhang – One of the oldest temples in Bhutan.
  • Overnight stay in Paro.

Day 7:Departure from Paro

  • After breakfast, check out from hotel.
  • Transfer to Paro International Airport for your onward journey.
  • Depart with memories of Bhutan’s warm hospitality, towering monasteries, and serene landscapes.
