Day 1:Arrival at IXB – Transfer to Phuentsholing

  • Meet & greet on arrival at Bagdogra Airport (IXB). 
  • Drive to Phuentsholing, a bustling border town and Bhutan’s commercial gateway. 
  • Check-in at the hotel. 
  • Overnight stay in Phuentsholing.

Day 2:Phuentsholing – Thimphu

  • After breakfast, complete Bhutan immigration formalities.
  • Drive to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan.
  • En route visit:
  • Waterfalls
  • Gedu Town
  • Kharbandi Gompa
  • Arrive and check-in at hotel.
  • Overnight stay in Thimphu.

Day 3:Thimphu Sightseeing

  • Visit the grand Tashichho Dzong – royal office and seat of Bhutanese governance.
  • Enjoy panoramic views from BBS Tower.
  • Explore sacred & cultural sites:
  • National Memorial Chorten
  • Changangkha Monastery
  • National Zoo (home to the rare Takin, Bhutan’s national animal)
  • National Library – a repository of ancient Buddhist texts.
  • End the day at the serene Buddha Point.
  • Overnight stay in Thimphu.

Day 4: Thimphu – Paro

  • Drive to Paro, home to scenic beauty and rich heritage.
  • Sightseeing includes:
  • Ta Dzong – now the National Museum
  • Rinpung Dzong – “Fortress of the Heap of Jewels”
  • Kichu Lhakhang – the oldest temple in Bhutan
  • Drugyel Dzong – commemorates Bhutan’s victory over Tibet
  • On a clear day, view Mount Jomolhari (7,314 m).
  • Evening at leisure.
  • Overnight stay in Paro.

Day 5:Paro – Taktsang Monastery Hike

  • After breakfast, hike to the legendary Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest), perched on a cliff at 3,180 m.
  • It is believed that Guru Rinpoche flew here on a tigress’s back to meditate.
  • Return by evening and rest.
  • Overnight stay in Paro.

Day 6:Paro – Phuentsholing

  • Check out after breakfast and drive back to Phuentsholing.
  • Arrive and check-in at hotel.
  • Overnight stay in Phuentsholing.

Day 7: Phuentsholing – Departure (IXB Airport)

  • After breakfast, transfer to Bagdogra Airport (IXB) for your onward journey.
