From the glistening Gurudongmar Lake in Lachen to the flower-strewn valleys of Lachung, and ending with the world-famous sunrise over Kanchenjunga in Darjeeling, this itinerary offers a complete Himalayan experience like no other.

Day 1:NJP Railway Station / IXB Airport – Gangtok (Approx. 125 km / 4 hrs)

  • Meet & greet on arrival and transfer to Gangtok (5,480 ft) 
  • Check-in at the hotel and relax 
  • Evening free to explore MG Marg or local cafés 
  • Overnight stay in Gangtok

Day 2:Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir

  • After breakfast, drive to Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft) – a serene glacial lake revered by locals
  • Continue to Baba Mandir, a shrine dedicated to an Indian Army soldier
  • Return to Gangtok for free time or shopping
  • Overnight stay in Gangtok
  • Note: Alternate sightseeing will be arranged if Tsomgo Lake is inaccessible due to weather or political issues.

Day 3:Gangtok – Lachen Transfer (Approx. 120 km / 6-7 hrs)

  • Post breakfast, head to Lachen via Mangan and Chungthang
  • En route visit Naga Waterfalls, Twin Falls, Bhim Nala Falls, and Chungthang Confluence
  • Lunch en route and reach Lachen by evening
  • Overnight stay in Lachen

Day 4:Lachen – Gurudongmar Lake – Lachung (Approx. 190 km / 8 hrs)

  • Early morning visit to Gurudongmar Lake (17,000 ft) – one of the world’s highest and holiest lakes
  • Outer view of Chopta Valley
  • Return to Lachen for lunch and drive to Lachung
  • Arrive by late afternoon and check-in at the hotel
  • Overnight stay in Lachung
  • Note: Gurudongmar is high-altitude terrain – carry woolens and consult your doctor if needed.

Day 5:Lachung – Yumthang Valley – Gangtok (Approx. 120 km / 6-7 hrs)

  • Visit Yumthang Valley (11,800 ft) – known as the “Valley of Flowers”
  • Optional excursion to Zero Point (extra cost: ₹3500/car)
  • Stop at Hot Springs en route, famed for their healing properties
  • Return to Lachung for lunch and then drive back to Gangtok
  • Overnight stay in Gangtok

Day 6:Gangtok to Darjeeling Transfer (Approx. 100 km / 4 hrs)

  • Post breakfast, check out and head to Darjeeling, the "Queen of the Hills"
  • Arrive and check-in at hotel
  • Evening free to explore The Mall Road or Chowrasta
  • Overnight stay in Darjeeling

Day 7:Darjeeling Sunrise from Tiger Hill & Local Sightseeing

  • Early morning drive (3:45 AM) to Tiger Hill to witness sunrise over Kanchenjunga
  • Visit Ghoom Monastery, Peace Memorial, and Batasia Loop en route back
  • After breakfast, enjoy local sightseeing:
  • Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park (Closed on Thursdays)
  • Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee Centre (Closed on Sundays)
  • Darjeeling Ropeway, Japanese Temple, Tea Garden (Outer view)
  • Overnight stay in Darjeeling

Day 8:Darjeeling – NJP Railway Station / IXB Airport Drop (Approx. 80 km / 3 hrs)

  • Enjoy your final Himalayan breakfast
  • Transfer to NJP/Bagdogra for your onward journey
  • Tour Ends with Beautiful Memories
