All you need to know about Singapore

Singapore is a compact city-state where gleaming skylines, lush gardens and a dozen food cultures sit within a short ride of each other. In one trip you can walk through the Gardens by the Bay supertrees, cross to Sentosa for beaches and theme parks, eat your way through Little India and Chinatown, and spot pandas and white tigers on a night safari.

It is spotless, safe and extremely easy to get around, which makes it a favourite first international holiday for Indian families and a popular add-on to Malaysia and Indonesia. Tell us your dates, group size and budget, and we will build the itinerary around you.

Places covered: Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok

  • Carry an umbrella

Short tropical showers are likely any day of the year.

  • Get an EZ-Link or tap-and-pay card

Public transport accepts contactless cards, which saves buying tickets each time.

  • Dress light but cover up in temples

Remove shoes and cover shoulders and knees at places of worship.

  • Plan Sentosa and Universal on a weekday

Queues are noticeably shorter outside weekends and school holidays.

Singapore travel FAQs

Quick answers to what travellers ask us most

How many days do I need in Singapore?

Four nights is enough to cover the main attractions. Add a night or two if you want a day at Universal Studios or to combine it with Malaysia.

Is Singapore expensive?

Hotels and shopping are pricey, but street food, transport and many attractions are good value. We can include most of the big-ticket items in your package so your daily spend is limited to meals and shopping.

Can I combine Singapore with Malaysia or Bali?

Yes. Singapore pairs very well with Kuala Lumpur and Bali, and we offer combined itineraries on the packages below.

What is the best time to visit?

Singapore is warm and humid all year. February to April is usually driest, while November to January brings the heaviest rain but also the festive lights.
