This weekend escape packs the essential Andaman experience into three nights: one in Port Blair and two in Havelock (Swaraj Dweep). You visit Cellular Jail and its Light and Sound show, take the ferry to Havelock, and spend your time on Radhanagar Beach and Elephant Beach. Weekend trips are short, so arrive early on Friday and leave late on Monday. A trip captain accompanies the group, and Indian meal options are available on request.

Itinerary

1Day 1: Arrival in Port Blair | Cellular Jail and Light and Sound Show
  • Arrive at Port Blair Airport early in the day and meet your trip captain.
  • Transfer to your hotel and check in.
  • Visit Cellular Jail, the colonial prison that is now a national memorial.
  • In the evening, watch the Light and Sound show, subject to show timings.
  • Overnight stay in Port Blair.
2Day 2: Ferry to Havelock | Radhanagar Beach Sunset
  • After breakfast, transfer to the jetty and take the ferry to Havelock Island (Swaraj Dweep).
  • Transfer to your hotel and check in.
  • In the late afternoon, visit Radhanagar Beach to swim and watch the sunset.
  • Overnight stay in Havelock.
3Day 3: Elephant Beach | Free Afternoon
  • After breakfast, take a boat to Elephant Beach.
  • Swim, relax and snorkel on the reef, subject to sea conditions; water activities are optional.
  • Return to the hotel and spend the afternoon at leisure.
  • Overnight stay in Havelock.
4Day 4: Return to Port Blair | Departure
  • After breakfast, check out and take the ferry back to Port Blair.
  • Transfer to the airport in time for your late-day flight home.

Weather, road conditions and safety may require changes to the itinerary.

  • Weekend trips are short, so flights or trains should arrive early on day 1 and depart late on the last day to make full use of the programme.
  • Transport to and from the destination is not included.
  • Carry a valid government photo ID for every traveller; it is checked for flights and ferries.
  • Standard hotel check-in is around 2 pm and check-out around 12 noon.
  • Ferry timings and the order of the itinerary may change due to weather, sea conditions or operational reasons.
  • The return ferry on the last day can be delayed or cancelled by weather, so book a flight that leaves in the evening rather than the morning.
  • This is a group departure and runs on minimum numbers; we will inform you in advance if a departure needs to change.
  • A trip captain accompanies the group throughout.
