Overview & Highlights

Baku packs a surprising amount into a long weekend, and this fixed-departure escape is paced so that you see the best of it without rushing. You stay three nights in the capital, walking the UNESCO-listed Old City, strolling the Caspian-shore boulevard and seeing the Flame Towers and the Heydar Aliyev Center. One full day goes to Gobustan, a short drive from the city, where ancient rock carvings and bubbling mud volcanoes sit in an open, stark landscape. The next day takes you to the Absheron peninsula for the Ateshgah Fire Temple and Yanardag, the hillside that burns, best seen as the light fades. A trip captain travels with the group, and Indian meal options are available on request.
