This short escorted break packs the best of Georgia into a long weekend without rushing. You stay three nights in Tbilisi, so there is no packing and unpacking, and head out from the capital each day with a trip captain and a small group. One day covers the old town, the Bridge of Peace and the cable car up to Narikala Fortress, followed by an afternoon in Mtskheta with Jvari Monastery and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral. The next takes the Georgian Military Highway to Ananuri Fortress, Gudauri and the Gergeti Trinity Church beneath the Caucasus peaks, with time left on the last morning for a cafe breakfast and some shopping.

Itinerary
1Day 1: Arrival in Tbilisi | Old Town Evening
- Arrive at Tbilisi International Airport, where you are met and transferred to your hotel.
- Check in, freshen up and meet your trip captain and fellow travellers.
- Take an easy evening walk through the old town streets and across the Bridge of Peace.
- Settle in for a Georgian dinner of khachapuri or khinkali, with Indian meal options on request.
- Overnight stay in Tbilisi.
2Day 2: Tbilisi City Tour | Mtskheta
- After breakfast, set out on a guided tour of Tbilisi, including the old town and the Sulphur Baths area.
- Stroll through Rike Park and take the cable car up to Narikala Fortress for views over the city.
- In the afternoon, drive to nearby Mtskheta, one of the oldest towns in Georgia.
- Visit Jvari Monastery and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, then return to Tbilisi.
- Overnight stay in Tbilisi.
3Day 3: Ananuri | Gudauri | Kazbegi Day Trip
- After an early breakfast, drive north along the Georgian Military Highway.
- Stop at Ananuri Fortress beside the Zhinvali Reservoir and at the mountain viewpoints around Gudauri.
- Continue to Kazbegi (Stepantsminda) and travel up to the Gergeti Trinity Church, weather and road conditions permitting.
- Take in the Caucasus peaks, then head back to Tbilisi with comfort stops on the way.
- Overnight stay in Tbilisi.
4Day 4: Free Morning | Departure from Tbilisi
- Enjoy a relaxed breakfast and check out of your hotel.
- Use the free morning for a last walk, a cafe stop or some shopping in the old town.
- Transfer to Tbilisi International Airport in time for your flight home.
- Depart Georgia with wonderful memories.

Notes
- Weekend trips are short, so flights should arrive early on day 1 and depart late on the last day to make full use of the programme.
- Flights are not included and are not booked by us unless asked.
- Passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of travel.
- Standard hotel check-in is around 2 pm and check-out around 12 noon.
- The order of the itinerary may change with weather, road, flight or operational conditions without reducing the sights covered.

- The Kazbegi day involves several hours on mountain roads, which can be affected by snow, rain or landslides, particularly in winter and spring.
