This weekend escape fits a night on the Alleppey backwaters and a day in Fort Kochi into three easy days. You land in Kochi early on Friday, drive to Alleppey for a houseboat cruise, then spend Saturday among the fishing nets, churches and spice lanes of Fort Kochi before an evening departure on Sunday. It is short and relaxed, with one main activity each day. A trip captain travels with the group, and vegetarian and Indian meal options are available on request.

Itinerary
1Day 1: Arrival in Kochi | Alleppey Houseboat Cruise
- Arrive early at Cochin International Airport or Ernakulam railhead and meet your trip captain.
- Drive to Alleppey, about two hours, and board your houseboat around midday.
- Cruise the canals and Vembanad Lake, with lunch on board.
- Enjoy sunset on the water and dinner on board.
- Overnight stay on the houseboat.
2Day 2: Backwaters to Fort Kochi
- Have breakfast on board and disembark by around 9 am.
- Drive to Kochi, about two hours, and check in to your hotel.
- Visit Fort Kochi: the Chinese fishing nets, St Francis Church, Mattancherry Palace and the spice lanes of Jew Town.
- Spend the evening at leisure on the waterfront, with an optional Kathakali show paid locally.
- Overnight stay in Kochi.
3Day 3: Fort Kochi Morning | Departure
- Enjoy breakfast and a free morning for a walk along the waterfront, shopping for spices or a cafe stop.
- Check out of the hotel and store your bags if needed.
- Transfer to Cochin International Airport or Ernakulam railhead for your evening journey home.
Weather, road conditions and safety may require changes to the itinerary.

Notes
- Weekend trips are short, so flights or trains should arrive early on day 1 and depart late on the last day to make full use of the programme.
- Transport to and from the destination is not included, and we do not book it unless you ask.
- Carry a valid photo ID, such as an Aadhaar card, passport or driving licence, for hotel check-in.
- Standard hotel check-in is around 2 pm and check-out around 12 noon.
- The order of the itinerary may change due to weather, road or operational conditions, without reducing the sights covered.

- This is a group departure and runs on minimum numbers; we will inform you in advance if a departure needs to change. A trip captain accompanies the group throughout.
- Houseboats usually cruise during the day and are moored for the night; air-conditioning typically runs only at night, and boarding is around midday. The group may be spread across more than one houseboat.
- Some museums and monuments in Kochi close on one day each week; the order of visits is arranged around this.
