This private honeymoon moves slowly through the quieter side of Sikkim: two nights in Gangtok, two in Ravangla and two in Pelling. You travel by private car, start most mornings late and keep afternoons and evenings for each other. Gangtok brings Tsomgo Lake, Rumtek Monastery and a ropeway ride over the city. Ravangla offers the great Buddha statue and cool mountain air, and Pelling ends the trip with a private sunrise drive to a Kanchenjunga viewpoint, weather permitting. Expect a flower welcome on arrival, a candlelight dinner and a couples spa session, all subject to availability. Tell us your wedding date at booking and we will pass it to the hotels.

Itinerary
1Day 1: Arrival at Bagdogra | Drive to Gangtok | Welcome
- Arrive at Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri station, where your private car is waiting.
- Drive to Gangtok, about 4 to 5 hours by road, with a stop for lunch on the way.
- A flower welcome and room decoration are arranged, subject to availability.
- Spend the evening at leisure or take a quiet walk on MG Marg.
- Overnight stay in Gangtok.
2Day 2: Tsomgo Lake | Gangtok Ropeway
- After a relaxed breakfast, drive up to Tsomgo (Changu) Lake, at about 3,780 m.
- Enjoy a warm drink by the lake and the mountain views, with time for photographs.
- Return to Gangtok and ride the ropeway over the city in the afternoon.
- The evening is free.
- Overnight stay in Gangtok.
3Day 3: Rumtek Monastery | Drive to Ravangla
- After a late breakfast, visit Rumtek Monastery near Gangtok.
- Continue by private car to Ravangla, about 3 to 4 hours by road.
- Check in at your hotel and enjoy the cool mountain air.
- Spend the evening at leisure.
- Overnight stay in Ravangla.
4Day 4: Buddha Park | Candlelight Dinner
- After breakfast, visit Buddha Park and the large seated Buddha statue.
- Return to the hotel to rest through the afternoon.
- In the evening, enjoy a candlelight dinner, subject to availability.
- Overnight stay in Ravangla.
5Day 5: Ravangla to Pelling | Couples Spa
- After a leisurely breakfast, check out and travel by private car to Pelling, about 3 hours by road.
- Check in at your hotel and relax.
- Enjoy a couples spa session in the afternoon, subject to availability.
- The evening is free.
- Overnight stay in Pelling.
6Day 6: Kanchenjunga Sunrise | Pemayangtse | Chenrezig Statue
- Rise early for a private drive to a Kanchenjunga sunrise viewpoint, weather permitting.
- Return for breakfast, then visit Pemayangtse Monastery.
- Visit the Chenrezig statue and Skywalk at an easy pace.
- The rest of the day is free.
- Overnight stay in Pelling.
7Day 7: Departure from Bagdogra
- After a relaxed breakfast, check out of the hotel.
- Your private car takes you to Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri station, about 5 to 6 hours by road.
- Book an afternoon or evening departure to allow for the road journey.
Weather, road conditions and safety may require changes to the itinerary.

Must carry
- Original government photo ID for each partner, plus photocopies
- Marriage certificate or wedding invitation, for the hotel welcome
- A few passport-size photographs, in case permits need them
- Thermals, a warm jacket, gloves and a woollen cap
- Waterproof jacket or umbrella
- Comfortable walking shoes with good grip
- Sunscreen, sunglasses and lip balm
- Personal medicines, including motion-sickness tablets if your doctor advises them
Notes
- Please share your marriage certificate or wedding date at booking so the hotels can arrange the welcome.
- Honeymoon touches are subject to availability and hotel policy.
- Carry a valid government photo ID for every traveller (Aadhaar, passport, voter ID or driving licence); it is needed for hotel check-in and for permits.
- Standard hotel check-in is around 2 pm and check-out around 12 noon.
- The order of the itinerary may change with weather, road or operational conditions, without reducing the sights covered.
- Tsomgo Lake needs a permit, which we arrange. Tsomgo Lake is at about 3,780 m, where the air is thin. Go slowly and drink water; take medical advice first if you have heart, breathing or blood pressure problems.
- The Kanchenjunga sunrise depends on clear weather and cannot be guaranteed.
- Heavy rain from June to September can cause landslides and road delays in Sikkim, especially towards North Sikkim; sightseeing may be rearranged for safety.
