This long-weekend trip is built to show you the best of Uzbekistan without rushing. You land in Tashkent, settle in and see the capital's old quarter, then ride the Afrosiyob high-speed train to Samarkand for a night in the Silk Road city. In Samarkand you walk through Registan Square, the Gur-e-Amir Mausoleum, Shah-i-Zinda and the Bibi-Khanym Mosque at an easy pace. An afternoon train brings you back to Tashkent for the Metro stations and a little shopping before your flight home. A trip captain travels with the group, and Indian meal options are available on request. Choose flights that arrive early on Friday and leave late on Monday to make the most of the programme.

Itinerary
1Day 1: Arrival in Tashkent | Old Town Evening
- Arrive at Tashkent International Airport and meet our representative.
- Transfer to your hotel, check in and freshen up.
- Visit the Hazrati Imam Complex and its old-quarter surroundings in the late afternoon.
- Enjoy dinner time at leisure and a relaxed evening.
- Overnight stay in Tashkent.
2Day 2: Afrosiyob Train to Samarkand | Registan Square
- After an early breakfast, transfer to the station and board the Afrosiyob high-speed train to Samarkand.
- Transfer to your hotel and drop your bags.
- Visit Registan Square with its three grand madrasahs and the Gur-e-Amir Mausoleum.
- Enjoy free time in the evening to stroll and take photographs as the tilework glows.
- Overnight stay in Samarkand.
3Day 3: Samarkand Sights | Train Back to Tashkent
- After breakfast, visit the Shah-i-Zinda necropolis and the Bibi-Khanym Mosque.
- Stop at Siab Bazaar for dried fruit, bread and souvenirs.
- Take the afternoon Afrosiyob train back to Tashkent and check in at your hotel.
- Enjoy the evening at leisure.
- Overnight stay in Tashkent.
4Day 4: Tashkent Metro and Departure
- After breakfast, complete check-out formalities and leave your luggage with the hotel.
- Ride through some of Tashkent's decorated Metro stations and enjoy free time for shopping.
- Transfer to Tashkent International Airport for your late flight home.
- Depart Uzbekistan with warm memories.

- Weekend trips are short, so flights should arrive early on day 1 and depart late on the last day to make full use of the programme.
