This long-weekend escape is built around Da Nang, a relaxed beach city on Vietnam's central coast, with the best of its surroundings within easy reach. You stay in one hotel for all three nights, so there is no packing and unpacking, and each day has one or two headline sights. You ride the cable car up to Ba Na Hills for the Golden Bridge and the French Village, visit the Lady Buddha at Linh Ung Pagoda, and spend an afternoon and evening in Hoi An Ancient Town as the lanterns come on. Time on My Khe beach and a relaxed last morning keep the pace gentle. A trip captain accompanies the group, and Indian meal options can be arranged on request. Fixed departures run on most weekends, so you can fly out on a Friday and be back at work on Monday.

Itinerary
1Day 1: Arrival in Da Nang | Lady Buddha and Han River Evening
- Arrive early at Da Nang International Airport, where your trip captain meets the group.
- Transfer to your 4-star hotel; early check-in is subject to availability, and luggage can be stored if the room is not ready.
- After a rest, drive up the Son Tra Peninsula to Linh Ung Pagoda and its tall Lady Buddha statue, with views over the coast.
- Take a relaxed evening stroll along the Han River and across the city's bridges; dinner is at leisure, and Indian meal options can be arranged on request.
- Overnight stay in Da Nang.
2Day 2: Ba Na Hills | Golden Bridge and French Village
- After breakfast, drive to Ba Na Hills and ride the cable car up the mountain.
- Walk across the Golden Bridge, held up by two giant stone hands, and explore the French Village and the hilltop gardens.
- Lunch is at leisure in the hill resort, and you return to Da Nang in the afternoon.
- Enjoy free time at My Khe beach, then see the Dragon Bridge lit up in the evening; it breathes fire and water on weekend nights, subject to schedule.
- Overnight stay in Da Nang.
3Day 3: Marble Mountains | Hoi An Ancient Town
- After breakfast, visit the Marble Mountains, limestone hills with caves, shrines and pagodas.
- Continue to Hoi An, about 45 minutes away, and walk through the Ancient Town, including the Japanese Covered Bridge and old merchants' houses.
- Use the afternoon for the riverside cafes, tailors and craft shops, with lunch at leisure.
- Stay on as the lanterns light up in the evening; an optional lantern boat ride on the river can be arranged.
- Return to Da Nang for an overnight stay.
4Day 4: Beach Morning | Departure from Da Nang
- After breakfast, enjoy a free morning at the beach or the hotel pool, or pick up last-minute souvenirs.
- Check out at around noon; luggage can be stored until your transfer.
- Transfer to Da Nang International Airport for your onward flight, timed to your departure.
- Depart Vietnam with the lanterns of Hoi An still in your photographs.
Weather, road conditions and safety may require changes to the itinerary.

- Weekend trips are short, so flights should arrive early on day 1 and depart late on the last day to make full use of the programme.
