This group trip pairs the energy of southern Vietnam with island relaxation. The first three days cover Ho Chi Minh City, the Cu Chi Tunnels and a day on the waterways of the Mekong Delta. You then fly to Phu Quoc for three nights, with an island-hopping day by speedboat to Mong Tay, Gam Ghi and May Rut, a ride on the Hon Thom cable car, and a day of local sights and the night market. Itinerary
1Day 1: Arrival in Ho Chi Minh City | Saigon Riverside
- Arrive at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, where your trip captain meets the group.
- Transfer to your 4-star hotel and check in.
- Take an easy evening walk along Nguyen Hue walking street towards the Saigon River.
- Dinner at leisure; Indian meal options can be arranged on request.
- Overnight stay in Ho Chi Minh City.
2Day 2: Cu Chi Tunnels | Colonial Saigon
- After breakfast, drive to the Cu Chi Tunnels and explore the tunnel network used during the war.
- Return to the city for lunch at leisure.
- See the Notre-Dame Cathedral and the Central Post Office, two landmarks of French colonial Saigon.
- Browse the stalls of Ben Thanh Market before returning to the hotel.
- Overnight stay in Ho Chi Minh City.
3Day 3: Mekong Delta Day Trip
- After breakfast, drive south to the Mekong Delta.
- Take a boat ride along the river and a rowing boat through a narrow canal.
- Taste tropical fruit and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
- Return to Ho Chi Minh City in the late afternoon, with the evening free.
- Overnight stay in Ho Chi Minh City.
4Day 4: Fly to Phu Quoc | Beach Afternoon
- After breakfast, check out and transfer to the airport for the short flight to Phu Quoc.
- Transfer to your resort and check in.
- Spend the afternoon on the beach or by the pool.
- Watch the sunset over the sea; dinner is at leisure.
- Overnight stay in Phu Quoc.
5Day 5: Island Hopping | Hon Thom Cable Car
- After breakfast, drive to An Thoi Harbour in the south of the island.
- Take a speedboat to Mong Tay, Gam Ghi and May Rut islands for swimming and snorkelling stops, with lunch included.
- Ride the Hon Thom cable car back to An Thoi station, subject to sea and wind conditions.
- Return to the resort for the evening.
- Overnight stay in Phu Quoc.
6Day 6: Phu Quoc Local Sights | Dinh Cau Night Market
- After breakfast, visit the Coconut Prison, a former wartime prison.
- See how Phu Quoc's famous fish sauce is made and visit a pepper farm.
- Have a relaxed afternoon at leisure at the resort.
- In the evening, browse Dinh Cau Night Market for seafood and souvenirs.
- Overnight stay in Phu Quoc.
7Day 7: Departure from Phu Quoc
- After breakfast, check out and enjoy free time until your transfer.
- Transfer to Phu Quoc International Airport for your onward flight.
- Depart Vietnam with sand still in your shoes.
